Food Services

The Food Services Department has a mission to provide all students of this district access to a variety of foods and menus that are nutritious and healthy.  Good nutrition aids in improving students' health and their capacity to learn.

Our Foods Services Department maintains strict compliance with the Policy of the SB 19 Bill that mandates nutritional standards for our students' meals.

Daily offerings include a variety of pizza, made-to-order deli sandwiches, a salad bar with an array of fresh toppings, grilled items, and an ever-changing selection of ethnic cuisine.  We are also partners with local farmers to provide fresh seasonal produce as part of our students' meals.

Our district participates in the National School Lunch Program and the School Breakfast Program which provides breakfast and lunch at no cost to students who are eligible.  Our district does not charge for reduced price meals.  Applications are available from each school's cafeteria and the community liaison.  Applications can also be printed from the "Application" link below.  Students are automatically eligible for free meals if they are recipients of services through CalWorks, Food Stamps, Kin-GAP, FDPIR and the Migrant Education Department.  Students that are Homeless are also automatically eligible upon reciept of the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act Declaration Form (see the "Homeless Status" link below).  Please note:  to receive benefits a new Application for Free or Reduced-Price Meals or Homeless Status Form must be submitted each school year.

All of our cafeterias are now utilizing the Nutrikids Point-Of-Sale computerized sales system.  This system assists in any over identificaiton of students that may be receiving free or reduced price meals.  (This section to be updated.)
